Keeping the family name?

Okay so my bf and I are trying to get pregnant and if I do happen to have a boy he wants to name him after him, same everything, making the little boy the fourth one in his family. Now don’t get me wrong I have no problem with that, but what if the baby gets here and he doesn’t look like what his father wants to name him. Should I sit down and talk to my boyfriend about it or just go with it?

Yeah you really should talk about it before hand.  Keeping the family name is more about continuing the name along with the Mae bloodline. So him looking like his dad has nothing to do with it...for most guys.  But you’re allowed to not want to use the name even if it’s just because you don’t want to.  But I wouldn’t agree to it if you aren’t 100% wanting it.  It will create problems later and he will say “well why did you agree then...?”

If he would be a 4th then I would keep the name no matter the looks.

I think you should go with the name unless you specifically don't like the name. Babies don't really look like a name when they're born, 2 of my kids changed so much from how they look as a newborn and look nothing like they did. If you don't like the name that's okay, but I wouldn't hold off just to see what the baby looks like.
