Super heavy periods?

Has anyone had super heavy periods after giving birth? My daughter is 9 months old now, my period gave back when she was 5 weeks old and ever since then, they have been ridiculously heavy, like having to wear a tampon with a pad. I went thru 3 super tampons and 3 pads (although the pads weren’t soaked, they were close tho ) in 6 hours. Before I had kids, a regular tampon could last 6-8 hours.

I had 2 babies back to back so that could be why too maybe??

I haven’t talked to my doctor because I am assuming he will just tell me to go on the pill which I hate being on. (It made me depressed for some reason, I’ve been on it a few times and never could stay on it past 3-4 months)

How long does this last?? Will I have crazy heavy periods forever?! 😫😫😫😫
