What was your progress like with Pitocin?

I got to the hospital at 8 pm last night (8/18) for my scheduled induction due to my high blood pressure. The only thing they did overnight was give me Cytotec (to thin my cervix) at 10 pm and 3 am. It didn’t work. I was still 1 cm dilated. 
Now I’ve been on Pitocin since 9 am and it’s currently 3:30 pm. I’m still 1 cm dilated, but I’ve noticed my contractions actually hurt a little more than when I came in. But it’s still not bad at all. 
I’m scared my cervix won’t dilate, and I’ll have to have a C-Section. I really don’t want that. 
How long were you on Pitocin before you finally started dilating or making progress?

My in inductions were pitocin only. First took about 16 hours from start to finish so about 14 hours until dilated. Second was about 12 hours until dilated. Both times it looked like I was getting "stuck" at 5 cm. Meaning I progressed nicely, then I was stuck at 5 for 2-3 hours and the nurses were sounding like it may not end up good. ....but then all of a sudden I was a 9. I just kept telling them that as long as baby was doing okay, I'd prefer to wait it out vs assuming c section.

That’s about how my induction went. The cytotec didn’t fully dilate my cervix - it only opened on the outside? And then I was on the highest dose of pitocin for almost 2 days. Total I was in labor for 50 hours before I demanded a csection. They wanted me to wait longer. Do yourself a favor and don’t wait that long. I nearly slept through the surgery and don’t remember holding my son for the first time because I was so exhausted.

I started Pitocin at 3:30 PM and was given the epidural at roughly the same time. It took a while to dilate from 1-5 and then like an hour from 5-10. I think the doctor upped my dosage once? 
I could feel pressure and tightening the entire time and towards the end, I could feel my legs, but I couldn’t feel the contractions or anything in and around my vagina. 
I started to feel pressure in my butt so the nurses called the doctor and it took a total of 2 contractions and a few pushes (no more than 7 minutes) and I delivered my daughter.

I was in labor for 13.5 hours barely dilating at all. I plateaued at a 4 and they wanted to up my pitocin and I told them they had to give me the epidural to do that. 1.5 hours later I was at a 10 and had pushed him out in 3 pushes. I think my body wasn’t able to relax through the pitocin.

My first I was in labor for 72 hours because of the Pitocin. I didn’t have the epidural or any meds and I wish I did because it was awful but I did have him vaginally.
My second I was induced at 10am, had her at 7:52pm, I got the epidural and they broke my water I had her 30 min later
My third I went in at 6am, got induced at 10am, I wasn’t dilating, so they broke my water 10 hours later, I started to progress fast, got the epidural and had him within 3 pushes.
I had all 3 vaginally￼￼￼, my hospital wont do it unless it’s life or death with my third though as I was pushing mine and my sons heart rate started to drop and when he came out his cord was in a knot, we got lucky he cane when he did or he and I would have died.

24 hours until I got an infection from my water being broken so long and had to have a c section. It wasn’t bad at all though!

I started pitocin around 5pm. Could have been closer to 530pm but I don't exactly remember. I wasn't able to get the epidural until I was like 6-7 cm because I had meconium in my fluid. That happened between 1am and 3am. I was able to start practice pushes around 1115am. Started for real pushing at 1130 and she was born right before noon. I don't know exactly when they turned the pitocin off but if assume after I hit 10cm. So if thats the case I had it for over 12 hours
