Fear of Morning Sickness

Bridget • special education teacher and breastfeeding mother

My husband and I are going to start trying for baby #2 this month. I've been pregnant twice now with morning sickness. The first one ended in a late miscarriage at 17 weeks. I hate the morning sickness.

I also have really bad heartburn that right now feels a lot like morning sickness in that it gets worse the longer I go without eating.

I'm a teacher and we are planning to conceive this month because then the baby should be born right at the end of the school year. We were able to get pregnant the first month of trying both times. We have to get pregnant now, but I'm afraid of the symptoms of pregnancy. I just want to skip ahead to having a baby in my arms.

How can I deal with the fear of getting morning sickness when I really do want another child? I don't want to have to live in misery. It's seriously causing me some anxiety. What do I do?
