Gestational diabetes ??

So I am 32 weeks but due to my doctors crazy schedule as well as a quarantine after vacation I just completed my second glucose test this week and found out today that I failed... I’m pretty surprised because my nurse assured me I barely failed my first and they make them so easy to fail she thought I would pass the long one, and I am a fairly healthy person, haven’t gained very much weight and I am pretty physically active. My pregnancy has also been fairly textbook and uneventful, at least until now 🙄 anyone have any good advice or words of encouragement, I’ve been through quite a few emotions since getting that phone call this morning!

This happened to me as well. I failed the 1 hour by a few points and then completely failed the 3 hour. I eat healthy and exercise regularly. I haven't gained much weight. 
I am on a weekly hormone injection, and the OB thought that could be what caused it. Luckily, my blood sugar numbers have been right on point and I haven't had to change much.
I am glad to hear that I am not the only one this happened to. I was very upset when I found out and not totally convinced I actually had it, but I figure better safe than sorry.

Can you ask to retake it? If you ate that day and you normally don't or vice versa I've heard that can affect your test

Same thing happened to me I was able to control with diet so far have to prick my finger four times a day

I failed my 1 hr by 5 points and only failed the 3hr by 1 point and I’m almost 31 weeks and only gained about 5-6 lbs and they still diagnosed me and I have to go follow a diet and stick myself to check my sugars 4xs a day..  I don’t really get it either but it’s for the health of my baby so I’m just toughing out the next 9 weeks.. I met with the dietician and it’s totally manageable but kind of sucks for cravings for things like pizza 😔 once we deliver our sugars should return to normal

I’m literally in the exact same boat!
Only failed my 1 hour test by less than 1 point, haven’t gained a lot of weight, eat fairly healthy, stay active everyday, wasn’t overweight before pregnancy and had none of the risk factors!
Just diagnosed with gestational diabetes a week ago at 29 weeks.
I have honestly been a basket case since then.
Because of covid my appointment with the dietitian and gestational diabetes specialist aren’t until August 31 and September 1 and they will be phone appointments.
Don’t do what I did! I googled and googled everything! Google is full of scary statistics that my OB assured me aren’t fully accurate!
As soon as I got the call that I failed the 3 hour test I stopped eating sugar, switched from white to whole wheat and cut back on carbs!
I also got a glucose meter early and have been checking my blood 4 times a day to bring the numbers to my dietitian before the appointment.
I got super depressed and anxious for the first few days (still feel sad a lot) because I can’t eat whatever I want whenever I want. Especially because most of my cravings are sugar.
But I just met with my OB today and he really made me feel better! He said it’s not my fault and it couldn’t have been prevented. Just a bad luck placenta.
If I follow the diet and stay active, everything will be fine and it will go away as soon as baby is born.
It’s still scary and sad, but once you talk to your doctor you’ll feel a little better!
