Csection scar... fade? Exercise to lesson shelf??

8 weeks pp and I’m really insecure about this csection scar. It is so ugly about 5 inches across way more on the right side then the left. Not centered at all. There is a shelf above it from the weird angle they cut. I lost my pregnancy weight and 8.5 lbs and it still looks awful. I don’t even know a single person that had a csection to talk to about it. Does it ever fade? Does the shelf go away with exercise?
Note my husband tells me I’m beautiful everyday and still is sexually interested. I know it’s just a me thing. He is amazing in that respect. I just am having a hard time with it

Yes itll likely fade and the shelf will tighten up.  Just bc your weight has gone down doesnt mean your skin has gone all the way back.  It takes a while for your skin to tighten back up.  Dont worry too much momma itll be ok

I have had 2. My doctor botched my first one and so my scar started turning black. So with my second son they removed that part during csection so mine is a bit off. But my scar pretty much stayed the same. But im fat so no one ever sees it but my husband. Now if i was skinny I would be proud of it. I went through this to bring a life into the world. But everyone is different.

I've had 3 sections.  The scar fades. I didn't get "the shelf" until my 2nd section but It never went away.

My daughter is 16 months old. My scar is about 70% faded. That shelf will not fuckin budge though no matter what I do.

It will fade with time. And it's okay to not like this.
Check out Every Mother, its a workout program that claims to help with this stuff. I am doing it myself after a vaginal delivery. A lot of people also like the MuTu system too.
