Anyone else tired of breastfeeding? 🙋🏼‍♀

I know I'll probably feel a little differently when he's a year and I can wean but right now I am so over it. He had one of those seldom nights last night where he woke up 4 times only wanting boob to go back to sleep. And I'm tired of being the only one that can feed him. He won't take a bottle the last couple times I've tried. My frozen milk goes to waste.. Ugh.

Ugh it's trash I hate it but I totally agree that I don't want to pay for formula (why the fuck is it so expensive) or wash bottles so I'm sticking it out until his birthday (ish). I think I'll miss it a little, or feel a little bad weaning deliberately since my first kind of just tapered off and stopped nursing at 21 months so there was no struggle, but this time I'm for sure cutting him off around a year old. I'm done with babies and I want my body back. I've been either pregnant or breastfeeding (or both) the majority of the past four years and I'm fucking over it. I want to be able to eat and drink whatever I want without thinking about how it will impact a baby or milk. I want my husband to be able to feed the kids without me concerning myself with making a bottle. I want to be able to crack open a milk from the fridge and call it good. I want to never worry about is my supply good enough, is baby getting enough when I can't see it. I want to feel less PERSONALLY responsible for if my kid is gaining weight appropriately or not. 3 more months!! 🥳

Yes and no. I hate pumping.... and bc I have an oversupply I have to pump before bed & in the morning. I’m tired of living in two hour windows during the day & being the only one to get her back to sleep at night. But I love the bond it creates & nursing her to sleep every evening I look forward to so much. I miss having wine with dinner. I’m already kinda sad knowing the end is near with nursing. But looking forward to getting my body back.

Meeee!!! I’m on the MSPI diet... I’m hoping by Thanksgiving I can have her weaned to a bottle or sippy cup so I can use my freezer stash AND freaking enjoy Thanksgiving food 😂

Just like the other posters - yes and no.  I still try hard breastfeed or pump every 2-3 hours during the day, but have had multiple days at work where I’ve gone 4-5 hours and it’s really plummeted my supply.  I basically still feed/pump full time, but he’s only actually getting 8-12 ounces a day or breast milk and we’re needing to give the rest formula anyway.  So basically... I’m so over pumping and feel bad that I’m still not able to give him all breastmilk despite the effort.  BUT I do love the bonding, even if he’s not getting much, and sometimes breastfeeding is much easier if we need to go somewhere.  I also don’t clogged ducts anymore! 😅

I’m definitely ready to stop. I just need to not be the only one that can feed her. If she would take a bottle I’d probably do half formula at this point.  Almost 9 mo is plenty! I do love the connection we have though.

It definitely depends on the day. She is cutting her first tooth right now and up to nurse EVERY HOUR! for about 11 days now. I feel like I could die any day now from exhaustion. Girl would fight me for her boobie, has never taken a soother or a bottle. It's been the most challenging time for us and I'm dead tired. And I'm hoping to breastfeed for 18 months 🥴

I’m definitely over it now. I’ve been struggling with my supply over the last month and she’s been getting more and more frustrating to feed. I’ve been trying to give her a bottle and slowly wean her but she has 100% refused a bottle. I’ve only managed to get her to take one suck from it so far and that was just by leaving her with it and letting her experiment with it on her own. She screams if I try to bring it to her mouth but she’s like that with food as well, she wants to do it all herself and won’t let me feed her bottle or real food. I did manage to get her to take about an ounce of expressed milk yesterday through a straw cup. I’m thinking I might just have to power through until she’s comfortable enough with a cup and just skip a bottle all together.
