Feeling defeated today

I went back to work full time last week (hectic teacher life starting soon 😔)... so my MIL watched Thomas a few days and then he had a few days in day care to start a gradual entry. He had SUCH a hard time. Didn’t eat, cried most of the time and wanted to be held. The day care lady told me she simply isn’t able to hold him all day, which I understand. I just feel really sad and helpless right now. Now my weekends are also busy with catching up on housework and school prep. I’m exhausted, he’s fussy and exhausted.

Any moms going through the same thing? Or anyone have a positive story to share about their fussy baby adjusting to daycare? 💔
