Did anybody gain weight while taking prednisone?

My doctor prescribed it for me but after looking at the side effects I’m kinda not wanting to take it. It makes you gain weight and it’s a steroid. It’s prescribed for 5 days. Will I gain weight in those 5 days?

You’re not going to gain it that quickly. I didn’t see a difference until 2 months after taking it and I only had the moon face. 
You’re taking it for 5 days, you’ll be fine. Your doctor prescribed you because the benefits for you outweigh the “cons”

You gain weight if taken numerous times over a period of time I have it for my asmtha when my chest is really bad

I was on that crap first dosage was not strong enough. Second was strong enough gained 60 pounds in 1-2months. I got a reaction to something. Started at my feet and made its way all the way up to my stomach by the time it was cured.

It was prescribed for a reason. Every time your doctor prescribes something, they weight the benefit versus potential side effects. If you have questions about it, speak to your doctor or pharmacist.

5 days is a very short time. Please talk to your doctor about this. No doctor prescribes steroids lightly if they're not needed and important for your health. Ask them these questions.
