First appointment

I’ve taken a couple of clear blue digital tests which say pregnant 1-2 weeks which I understand would mean 3-4 weeks which would work out. I phoned the doctor who passed me onto a midwife number which I am having problems registering with as I have just moved house. From reading things on here, it looks like I won’t have a first midwife appointment until about 10 weeks. Should there be any consultation before this? I had always thought once you have had a positive pregnancy test, you go to a doctors appointment to confirm the pregnancy and they would give me information such as what vitamins etc I should take. I am only aware about folic acid because a family member is recently pregnant but what if I didn’t know about that and I was told this at 10 weeks? I’m feeling very unsure about everything as this is my first pregnancy and I have no symptoms other than a missed period. Is this normal?
