Announcing my pregnancy to my sister...help?

Question

My sister has shared with me that she and her husband have been trying for a baby. The last three months have been unsuccessful. I’ve told her it’s too soon for her to worry, but of course the normal anxiety sets in for her. 
I am currently 7w4d. She is visiting me in less than two weeks with the rest of our family. I plan on announcing to all of then. 
This is my second pregnancy. And both i have conceived the first month trying. I’m very blessed. 
Anyone have any suggestions? I know she will be excited, but I can’t help but want to keep her feelings safe too?

Make sure you tell her privately before you announce in front of everyone. I’m sure she will be super happy for you but as someone that was in her position it would have been nice being told alone instead of bombarded in front of others. My sister in law announced at a big family bbq 5 days after I had a d&c for a miscarriage and I was extremely hurt and left. If she would have talked to me first I would have taken it much better.

What if you got her an aunt mug and put some prenatal vitamins and ovulation test in it and present it like before you feel family and just say I’m so excited for when you are too and say you wanted to tell her brother rest of the family

I would tell her first. Three months is really no time at all but she will still likely feel disappointed that it isn’t her announcing.

Tell her first so that she has time to process her feelings before having to do it infront of the entire family. Otherwise, enjoy yourself and don't be afraid to be happy about it!
