PCOS & 1st IVF help!

Brittney

So I am 27 was diagnosed with PCOS 4 years ago. My husband and I have been trying for several years with varying levels of medical assistance.

This was our first IVF cycle. They retrieved 20 eggs, 17 were mature and 14 fertilized. On day 3 all 14 were progressing normally. My doctor told me to expect 3-4 blastocysts.

Today the IVF lab called and said only two were normal blastocysts and worth freezing. I am definitely upset by this news.

I am wondering if anyone else has had such a dramatic drop? Did you find any other underlaying issues? I’m starting to think there is more than just PCOS happening.

Would love to hear others experience. Thanks!
