Ovulation

Y’all I’m clueless on how ovulation works and I’ve never tracked it before. I get the basics. I could probably just Google it, but I figured I’d ask y’all. I was supposed to ovulate on CD17, but that was my lowest result. But I did have the EWCM that day. Then it went up for a day and back down. But I still haven’t gotten a positive high result. Now I’m supposed to be 3DPO today and I didn’t test yet, but I woke up with the same EWCM as I did on CD17. I’m so confused. Maybe it’s because I’m testing at different times during the day? Should I be more consistent? Should I test more than once in a day? I mean we’re covering all the bases just in case but I’m lost😅
