full term?

due sept 10th with my first baby girl. i always thought anytime after 37 weeks was perfectly safe for baby to make their arrival. after doing some research 39 weeks and later babies are the healthiest and considered full term? and 37-38 week babies are higher risk for complications? is this true? did any of you mamas deliver before your due date and baby was fine?

It’s true that 39 weeks is full term and 37 weeks is subject to certain risks. But 37 is at least term. It’s “early term.”

My mum has me when she was 32 weeks pregnant give or take a few days and said I was healthy at 6 pounds 3oz

I delivered my son at 36 weeks and he was perfectly healthy. Stayed two nights at the hospital. He’s a healthy smart 6 year old now.

My mom told me that I was born at 36 weeks and I was totally fine. Stayed at the hospital for 2 nights only and went home healthy. And this was 24 years ago. And I know a lot of people delivering between 36-37 weeks with healthy and happy babies😊
