13 year old daughter says she wants to go to A Mormon church on her own (were not religious but more spiritual) is she too young to decide this?

*not promoting anything just need advice* Personally I believe in the Universe, there has to be something bigger than me. God could exist, god could be made up, the world could be round, the world could be flat, aliens may exist, aliens may not, but not one person is wrong in their belief. I’ve raised my daughter with that open thinking and have respected her wanting to learn and picking what she chooses to believe. 
She recently told me that she wants to be Mormon and would like to go to church on her own. I said I could give her rides and she said no she can take the golf cart to get there. I started reading up on the religion to understand what she’s interested in
I’m asking because is she too young to be going to church by herself and exploring this on her own? I want to give her freedom to do so but also want to make sure she’s good

I think she’s old enough to explore her spirituality and decide on her own if she likes it. I would just make sure that she’s going to a real church and that’s it’s not some scam.

I don't know much about the Mormon religion myself but if she's expressing interest I don't see the harm in letting her go see what it's about (unless it's a cult, obviously).

I was raised Roman catholic but I'm not longer practicing because it was forced down my throat as a child. I'm not really sure what I believe in just yet, but I plan to let my girl explore whatever she wants. However, sexual abuse spans any religion and I'm not sure I would let her go alone at 13. I would probably go with her until I met and learn about the people who frequent the church. Once that's established and I feel everyone is alright then I might reconsider. But I certainly would not let her drive herself in a golf cart. She can drive herself when she has a car and her license

Yeah sure, if she is going to go to an actual church for an actual service or program. Her driving the golf cart and going by herself seems weird to me. That was the only red flag.

She’s getting to the age where she is searching for purpose and meaning. I think it’s natural for her to feel this way. Exploring your spirituality is a big step in growing up. Go through this journey with her, join her at churches, research ones together. Become involved with her. It could be a step for both of you religiously speaking. I think it’s great that she is curious and pursuing religion. You’ve raised a good young woman. Good luck!

My daughter likes a different church than mine, but I also go with her every now and again. I don’t think she’s to young to make the decision and if she wants to explore those options you should let her, but I also recommend doing some research or going with her and then discussing it and kinda put your thoughts as where you are and see where she is. They are going to be there own people one day, it just nice to know what they are learning!

13 seems young to some people but at 13 I was pretty mature and completely capable of making my own decisions. I wasn’t an adult yet but I wasn’t just a kid playing with toys. I think it’s completely okay to let her go. If she doesn’t like it, she could stop going. I would personally drive her and pick her up though. I don’t know why she would want to go alone. Especially when she’s never been. After she goes a couple of times then maybe she could go alone. A bunch of churches have youth groups. So the kids are together then the adults are together. I used to go to church alone around that age and meet my friend there and we attended the youth group. They provided snacks and I had a really good time. I stopped going around 15 though.

There is no harm in letting her explore her beliefs. But i dont think its safe letting her go by herself, she is still a child so she needs adult supervision. Definitely let her go to church, but go with her, because she wants to go by herself, tell her that this is important to her so its important to you that she is safe while exploring her beliefs
