If you had an epidural does it still hurt?

I had an epidural and if I put pressure on the injection site on my spine it hurts. It's not agonizing, just a bit sore. Is that normal? Does your back do the same?

I had one but haven’t had any back pain from it. I couldn’t tell you where my injection site was.

I had one with my first and have had no pain. Like the other person said, I couldn’t even tell you where it was! With my most recent I did no pain meds so it’s been almost 3yrs since I had one.

I have no pain regularly but on a couple of occasions, I am pretty sure I have felt the site the needle went in, like it’s bruised. Doesn’t bother me the slightest bit and was 100000% worth it though!

I didn’t have it with my first but I didn’t with my second and third. I have no back issues at all, if I didn’t get my tubes tied I’d get the epidural every time I had a child.

I have heard a lot of women complain about back pain years after an epidural and especially with change of weather, but if you speak to doctor/anesthesiologist they all say it’s not correlated. I have had patients opt out of epidural for this reason. I had a spinal and I wouldn’t be able to know because my back always hurts from breaking it back in 2017.

I had an epidural for two deliveries and for a spinal surgery and haven’t had any issues after but I do see other ppl mention this often so it must be fairly common
