Do I text his friend to get his stuff?

We broke up Monday and he's ignored my calls and texts and obviously doesn't give a damn about me. We don't live in the same town and he has quite a few things in my house and I want them out. I'm heartbroken and don't want anything that reminds me of him. So should I text his roommate/friend to come get it? Obviously the jerk doesn't want any contact with me. Probably has someone else.
Update: He lives 40 min away from me so for me to drop it off I'd have to drive out of my way. 
Maybe I should just tell his roommate since he never responded and be done with it. I don't wanna be mean and throw it out but maybe at last resort I will. Smh. I hate men.

I’d toss it is a box, leave it outside my door, let him know he may come pick it up, and it will go in the bin on trash day if he has not gotten it by then.

Do you really want to give him back his things or is this in hopes of being able to speak to him again? If he really cared about his stuff he would have reached out. I say put it away in a box out of site until you’re ready to throw it away

You have a few options:
1) Text him a date and time he can come pick it up and tell him that if he doesn’t pick it up at that designated time OR contact you to work out an alternate date/time that you will donate all of his things or throw them out. That way you have it in writing that you gave him the opportunity and he abandoned his property in case he tries to come back at you for it later.
2) Ask his roommate to come get his stuff, or to have him contact you about it, since he’s avoiding your calls/texts.
3) Drop it off at his place for him.
