Y’all my new eyeballs hurt

I got my glasses today as mentioned before in a post I made earlier when I had joy about having eyeballs again.

I did not realize I had to adjust to them.

Y’all straight up, I was intimate with my SO earlier and the heat was fogging up the glasses and also I just felt like they were in the way so I took them off.

Then I started wondering, how did I not realize that I couldn’t see this mans face? I took them off and I was like holy SHIT you are like a blurry blob, that made me sad. I genuinely had no freakin idea how much I couldn’t see before I got these glasses. It is wild to me.

Anyways, they’re causing my head to hurt. I mean my head hurts everyday but this pain is directly in and behind my eyes. okay imagine you’ve been freaking blind as a bat for years, and that became your normal. Genuinely had no idea that you are supposed to see individual leaves on trees type of thing. And then all the sudden you see freaking everything, EVERYTHING. I have tripped like 3 times today because I was looking at everything around me and distracted. It’s like way too much information too soon, way too much stimulation.

And then I think that taking them off will give me a break, and I’m like... what the hell. I can’t SEE 😭 and THAT hurts my head even more than when I have the glasses on. I can’t tell if thats what my eyesight was like before or if my prescription is so strong that when I take them off that it causes blurry vision or if I’m just crazy and cannot remember how bad it was before I got them. I cannot tell. I genuinely want to tie a bandana around my head and cover my eyeballs to just give my eyes a break. My eyes hurt.

How long is it going to take for my brain to get used to having eyeballs again?
