Cervix cerclage??

Question

Anyone have this? What should I prepare for? OB said it’s a very high possible I will need it because my cervix is thinning early. Bed rest? What couldn’t you do? Hospital stay? Bath?
Did you have to leave work?

I had to get one at 16 weeks because my cervix was short. It’s outpatient so you will be able to go home same day. It’s uncomfortable and I started to freak out because I have never had surgery other than my wisdom teeth, the day of surgery my cervix was 1.2 and after my stitches were in it was over 2.5 I took a shower the next day and was on bed rest for a week. I’ve been doing fairly well now my cerclage is funneled to the stitch and I’m 32 weeks but my lil man still holding strong in I get them removed in 4 weeks! Don’t stress and just take care of yourself very important to take the suppositories and no sex!
