Does kick count matter ? or as long as baby is moving and kicking it’s okay ?

My doctor said not to count kicks.
He said if you’re worried, to lay down and drink something cold or eat something sweet and if you feel baby 6 times in 2 hours, everything is okay!

My doctor told me luck counts weren’t necessary. You learn your baby’s patterns and if something changes, to call them.
