Anyone pregnant on Sertraline?

Question

What advice were you given? If you had baby already, was everything ok?
From my understanding there's a chance baby might bw negatively affected and I'm trying to weigh out pros and cons of continuing.

I stopped taking it once I found out I was pregnant I didn’t want my baby having that in his system but that was just my preference x

It has a low side effect profile and is generally considered "safe" by most providers. Generally your risks are withdrawal after birth, and a very low risk of something called persistent pulmonary hypertension for baby. Talk with your doctor about the risks to you and baby and decide what you're comfortable with. 
 I really struggled with going on it my first pregnancy, but I stayed at a low dose and the baby was fine. I came off it and went through another pregnancy without it, I had awful PPD probably caused by my underlying depression and a traumatic birth. I asked to go back on it this time at 15 weeks because I have two kids, a job, and a house. It helps me function and my other kids deserve a mom. I tried to muscle through it with my second and medication just works best for me and that's ok. Other women find other things that work for them and that's ok too.

I stopped taking it once I got pregnant because I read some babies have withdrawals from it. My doctor told me that’s only with high doses and my dose is very low.. she said it was safe to take. I told her if my symptoms got too bad I would start back.. but I’m not unless I have to.

I was on it with my first baby. It was great while I was pregnant it helped me alot but I had a hard time adjusting after I had my daughter. Every dose I tried was too little or too much I couldn't get on a right dosage to save my life. and I feel like it messed with me trying to breastfeed honestly.  I am currently pregnant with my second now and I decided to stop taking them this time around. It's been hard managing the anxiety but I feel alot better not putting about of stuff in my body while growing my little girl. I'm due this week and hoping I handle afterwards better then last time so I can hopefully stay off them!

My doctor showed me a chart of how many babies it actually affected and honestly it was so minimal. I’m on 100mg, I chose to carry on taking it because without it I can’t be a happy and healthy Mum for my toddler, you have to look at the positives and negatives, everyone is different. I personally need to take it, which I hate but I want to be the best Mum I can for my little bean and son 😊 x
