Should I even be concerned?

Question

My daughter is 14 months old, started walking at 9 months, plays with other kids, imitates, shares, but she doesnt speak. She uses tons of baby talk, but she refuses to say actual words. Shes said mama, dada, baba, and uh oh but maybe once or twice. Her cousin is autistic and I'm worried, but I dont want to worry too much. 
Any thoughts? My son was talking in full sentences at 2, but I've been told thats rare, so idk what to think.

My daughter is also 14 months and does not speak while playing with others. She interacts just fine but won't talk, then when they leave she starts babbling a ton! But not really any words. I'm not worried, it's still pretty early maybe around 1.5-2 start really focusing on how they are doing.

That sounds normal my 13 mth old make lots of noise, some of these sounds are her worked. Say it give her a toy she will make two sounds in the tune of thank you. There no words as such. Babies like to focus on one skill at a time, sounds like your kiddo has been focusing on their gross motor skill. My girl is still yet to walk but has definitely been focusing how the world works.

Sounds normal! My little guy is just over 13 months and says mama, dad and baby. He’s said dog twice but it hasn’t happened in forever, as long as your LO is communicating in other ways it’s fine, my little one nods and shakes his head or opens our hands to pass us things. He communicates well so I haven’t been so worried about the amount of words he’s using yet.

My son started babbling late. He's in speech. Our SLP said kiddos their age should have four words. Which is crazy. 😂 My son has two. "Dada" and "No" which he doesn't say - he just shakes his head in context so it counts as a word according to his SLP. This goes for waving & other signs and gestures too. They technically count as 'words." I'd love to tell you to try not to stress but I know how hard it is! If you're super worried reach out to early intervention. They've been great in getting my guy to make more attempts at communicating. ☺️

My guy babbles constantly but really doesn’t say  real words. I can tell he understands a lot of words though and understands how objects function. To me, that means he connects concepts and I figure the words will come later. I’m not particularly worried about it now but if he doesn’t say a few words consistently by 18 months I might start getting concerned. I wouldn’t worry if I were you! She’ll probably be talking up a storm in a few months!
