Night weaning
We’re at 10.5 months here and I think we’re going through a sleep regression. I’m dying. I’m so damn tired.
What can I do??
I also feel like I need to say that he gets up twice in the night normally to eat. Several months ago he started refusing all daytime nursing’s and stopped taking a bottle as well. He nurses once before his morning nap but often falls asleep so I’d like to kick that habit. And he nurses after his bath and before bed - he used to nurse to sleep here but lately he nurses and then I lay him down and he goes to sleep after 10-15 minutes. Otherwise he is a fairly good sleeper. He falls asleep on his own for his afternoon nap and only occasionally do we need to go in and settle him. And then like I said he usually only gets up twice to nurse which I decided to let him because he wasn’t nursing during the day. I’m wondering if he even needs that or if he’s just using it to fall back to sleep?
I am wanting to be done nursing around the time he’s 1. It was never my plan to nurse past 6 months but he decided otherwise. He’s a 99% baby eats solids really well. We struggled with a milk sensitivity so I haven’t given him much dairy - yogurt here and there but I’m hesitant to give him whole milk just yet because of it.
Sleep train? Night weaning?? Sleep regression? Combination?? I will take any and all tips and advice. I just fought him for a solid hour to go down for his morning nap and then burst into tears when he finally fell asleep. I’m being snappy to my husband and mean to my family. I’m just tired.
