Crib?

Question

So my son out grew his bassinet by time he was 6 weeks old. We then started using his pack and playfor him to sleep in our room, but lately he isn't sleeping to well in it. Instead he prefers to sleep with us. I do have a travel crib specifically for the bed but its not ideal for my husband, me and two dogs as well. He is only 11 weeks old. Do you think I should keep trying the pack and play or should we try to move him to his own room?

I would say it’s up to you! Try a nap or two in his crib to see how he does. My friends babe made the transition at 6 weeks because she slept so much better in her crib than bassinet in their room. Every baby is different!

The pack n plays as is are quite hard, I wouldn’t want to sleep on it. Your bed is probably more comfortable. You can buy mattresses to go into pack n plays which makes it so much more comfortable, like a real bed. 🤷🏼‍♀️ something to consider. They are under $30 at Walmart.

It’s SO nice to see what is usually the ‘unpopular opinion’ said from so many others :) I agree with the others, whatever you think is best! You know your baby and your situation.
I’m getting to the point where I could put my little one in her crib and may try some stuff out soon if she manages to keep connecting sleep cycles.

I transitioned my baby to his crib and room at about 2 months and he slept better in his own room than ours. He now sleeps all night! I of corse have a baby monitor with camera and a sound machine on as well.
