I don't like my bf anymore

Is that bad?! Do I HAVE to stay and work things out? We haven't even been together for a full year (next month) and I've said this multiple times to myself and him. He's my first love so a part of me does want to stay with him but the other part of me is just like eh. I understand that i'll miss him and our memories dearly but I also know that I deserve better. He's not a horrible man at all but we just aren't compatible.
