Is it innapropriate for me to tutor my boyfriend?

My boyfriend is really really struggling with online school, his grades are low and it’s his senior year so it’s an important one. He is mostly struggling in math, and so because I’m in a higher level of math than him I offered to tutor him. He got really upset. 
Is me trying to help really that bad?

Maybe don’t use the term “tutor” ... men have fragile egos and it’s likely the term offended him. He may feel like your flaunting you’re better ability or even coming down on him for not being as good as you.

He sounds immature, I'm smarter in some subjects than my husband just like he's smarter than me in other subjects. What kind of relationship would we have if we didn't feel comfortable teaching each other and growing together? Hubby also grew up with his mom who was the bread winner and is very intelligent, so he has never felt threatened by my success. So I have no time/sympathy/care for men with fragile egos 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

Men are immature little boys and they never grow out of it. Tell him that you have the skills to really help him boost his grades and you’re more than willing to do that for him. Then tell him that if he declines your offer you’ll be disappointed but you’ll respect it and help him find another resource.
