Have you ever hired maids/professional home cleaning services?

Since I’ve been pregnant I’ve been very sick to the point I can’t function, cook or clean. I’m looking into maybe once a month cleaning services and was wondering if you have ever used something like this? How much does it usually cost? (4 bedroom 2 bath 1900 square feet home) do I tip, if so, how much? Is it worth it? Thank you!

Yes please tip. I worked for a company called handy and we came to peoples homes and cleaned 🧼 ..... & a tip always made our day. It doesn’t have to be outrageous. Tip on what you could afford and based off if the service was pleasant!

My mom cleans homes. She’s already older and in pain constantly. She owns her business and has jobs left and right. Please tip, nothing is too small. Some clients give her $20, others an extra $80. Some even bake her cookies! She appreciates everything! It’s great to have a good relationship with someone who cares for you and your home.

I spent about $200 every 2 weeks for about 4 hours to have my house cleaned and she owned her own business and brought her own supplies- some don’t. I didn’t tip her.  I have a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house. Facebook is really great. Also, if you have local friends who Use cleaning services
When I was a house cleaner through a company, I appreciated the tips cuz they paid horribly. They will usually do an estimate for you. The first is usually a deep clean and after that it’s more of maintaining the house. I personally don’t know how much it is.

We were paying $200 plus tip for 2 women to come in and clean our 2 br townhome in Philly once every 2 weeks. We got a good deal because my fiance hired them because they were cleaning his place of work,

Never had a house cleaner, but I was one! I’m not sure how much the woman who owned the business charged, but I got a flat rate of $10 an hour. And I’d say the average time it took 2 people to clean a house was 2-3 hours. Give or take some time depending on if they wanted a touch up clean or a deep clean. No one ever tipped any of us the entire time we worked there but would sometimes let us get a water or soda haha. Tipping them would be greatly appreciated

Best thing I ever did. I’ve had it done twice now (monthly for now). Wish I did it sooner, was starting to hate my house and wow these women did a great job. I found this team on Facebook and had a mutual friend who worked with one of the women. 
I have a 1500 sq ft house, 3 br, 1.5 bath in MA, first time was $200, and it took 3-4 hours. We are not clean people, but trying to change our ways! Next time I had them organize basically a junk room (basement and attic ended up not working for storage due to mold). $40 for the organization, and $110 to clean the rest of the house. $110 will be the monthly cost going forward she said for monthly. I tipped them 20% each time too.

I’ve had a lady come in a couple times. I paid her $180. We have a 4 bed, 3 bath home 2600 sq. foot home. However, our back bedroom is a storage room and the other is an office for my husband and I, and we have it as an organized chaos that we understand lol, so she only cleaned two bedrooms and three bathrooms. She also didn’t do our laundry, but I could’ve paid her more to do that for us.

Hey so I had a cleaning service come once every 2 weeks. She charged $600 for the first clean but it took 2 days and it was a deep clean so she did light fixtures, etc and my house is 4200 sq ft 4 bed 4 bath. After that, she charged $145 every 2 weeks and was here about 4 hours each time. I personally had a horrible experience, but it was my own fault for trusting and not getting a contract. She made me believe the $600 was more of a retaining fee and she told me she’d use my carpet cleaner, pickup toys and wash walls (I have 2 toddlers). The only reason I went with her is bc she said she’d do all these things and more. Well after the $600 things went downhill. She got mad at me for asking her to spot treat my carpet and told me that was an “add on” fee, which makes sense to me, but she never told me that. After 4 times she told me she couldn’t do it anymore because I never pick up toys. It was unreal and I’m still in disbelief, but again- no contract so I have nothing to back me up. Some companies pick up toys, and some don’t so my advice is if you need the help just make sure you 
1. Get a contract with EVERYTHING in writing
2. Get a few different quotes
