People may forget! We sent ours out 4 weeks and still people are waiting to RSVP. We’re 3 weeks out and only 3 people responded. 😭 I’m hoping people are just being lazy and haven’t responded yet!

2 months is just enough time for someone to forget about the event.   Lol

I think 4 or 5 weeks in advance  is enough in advance, but if you have people from out of town, maybe earlier or do a save the date

It really depends on the type of family and friends you have. With mine its ideal to send them 2 months ahead with a reminder 2 weeks before.
