Light periods while breastfeeding?
What were your postpartum periods like if you breastfed?
I got my first period at 6 months postpartum, immediately after we moved my son to his own rook and he started sleeping long stretches through the night. I just started my 3rd postpartum period and they have all been very light. Light enough that I don’t need to use a pad or tampon if I wear black underwear. I’m still breastfeeding, but not exclusively—baby has 3 meals with solids each day.
Before pregnancy, my periods were fairly heavy the first day and then somewhat heavy for a few days, with a light 4th or 5th day. Most of my life, I got them like clockwork—every 28 days, around 5am.
These light periods are freaking me out! Everything I read makes it sound like my first PP period was supposed to be really heavy.
Did anyone else have these really light periods while breastfeeding and then return to normal flow when you stopped bf?
