Baby won’t sleep in bassinet
My baby is 1.5 weeks old and won’t sleep in her bassinet at night, she’ll only sleep when I hold her. She sleeps in her bassinet during daytime naps though. I’ve read all kinds of tips online, but they all make it sound so easy.
I’ve nursed and changed baby, slept on her sheets so they smell like me, used a white noise machine, adjusted room temperature, swaddled, pacifier, light during day and blackout curtains at night, etc. She’s on a great daytime routine where she nurses every 2.5-3 hrs, wake time while I change her, and then falls asleep in her bassinet for nap until next feed.
What do I do as she continues to cry in her bassinet at night? Do I just stay by her and soothe her while letting her cry until she sleeps? Or is she too young for that? Do I keep holding her all night? I feel as though that’s getting more dangerous by the day as I get more exhausted and risk falling asleep with her. I don’t know of any options besides those.
