How long are you working till? Im 30 weeks

Technically 38w5d but I work from home so it’s easier. If I had to commute/work in the physical office I would’ve stopped by now as I’m at 35w and in a lot of pain all of a sudden.

I’m off now at 32 weeks. My doctor deemed my job as too much labor. As the physical requirements are too much for a pregnant woman. I am a Machine Operator in a factory where we make Mac and cheese and work 12 hour shifts in 100+ heat some days. I planned to work up until 36 weeks.

With my first child I worked up until 37 weeks but I developed hypertension so i got put on bed rest. My original plan was to work until I popped. I am going to be staying home with our second child and I am going to leave my job around 30 weeks so that we can get our house in order and I can relax to hopefully prevent the hypertension since I'm at a risk for it.

I have always worked until delivery. My main job is computer based and besides walking 1-3 miles a day through our building when I am in office (I'm part time at home part time in office) it's not super heavy on physical labor. With my 1st I worked full day Friday 38+6, water broke Saturday at 39+0 and he was born 39+1. With our 2nd I went to work Monday 39+0. Did 6 hours and was so exhausted I had to go home to nap. He was born Tuesday morning at 9:45 am. With our 3rd he was frank breech. Went in for an appt Tuesday at 38+5. Earliest available scheduled c section was Friday at 8 am. I worked Wednesday and took Thursday to prep the house and get everything done I needed to do to get ready for a c section and recovery from that. I think I'd go crazy waiting at home for baby to come lol but that's just me. You've got to know you limitations and what your body can handle. Every job is different and every pregnancy is different. Do what makes you happy and comfortable 💖

I planned to work up until I went into labor! My boss was going to make me take the week off once I hit 39 weeks so she could have someone in place to take my clients. Luckily, I went into labor and had my baby at 39+1! Planning to work up until labor this time too. It was nice staying active!
