Coming off BC

I have been on birth control since February. My husband and I decided to start TTC so I came off the pill just a few days ago. Since then I have been cramping and have had spotty bleeding. My body has been achey and I’ve had a head ache all morning. Are these symptoms normal when coming off of bc? If so, does anyone know why?
