TTC after miscarriage and D&C

My husband and I found out we had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. I had a D&C the very next day. 10 days later I had a positive ovulation test. The next day it was negative. I still have not started my period but have had some strong cramping. We began immediately trying conceive again 10 days after the miscarriage. Is it possible to get pregnant again so soon? Scared to test due to not knowing if my HCG levels are still up from previous pregnancy. It’s been 20 days now since my D&C
