Baby boy is here 💙

Was scheduled for induction on Monday. We got to the hospital and checked in at about 430. After getting ready and prepped I started on cytotec every 4 hours. I started already at 1cm (which is a big deal because i was still closed as of last Wednesday) The initial process took a long time. Contractions were roughly every 2-4 minutes apart manageable but I only dilated 1 cm in those 3 doses.
By 8am I was started on pitocin. At 9:30am my dr came in and broke my water and I was not ready for it. Within minutes my contractions were strong as all hell and coming every 1-2 minutes. Got the epidural right away and it was in and done by 10:05am. Anesthesiologist had to do it in between contractions which was rough because i was crying. I was finally relaxed and able to sleep for the first time since being there. They checked me every two hours and every two hours I was progressed 2cm. By 430 I was 9 roughly 10 and the dr came in and said okay let’s “practice push”. So we did like 3 rounds and after that I was pushing for real.
Well after a grueling 2 hours and 15 mins. Tears and serious exhaustion my baby boy was finally born. They had to use the vacuum to help him along those last 5-10 pushes because he kept going back in because he was in a slightly funny position. 2nd degree tear and small hemorrhoid and I’m so so so sore. The hardest thing I’ve had to do. I’m so in love with my first born. He is absolutely PERFECT.
PSA. Shout out to every mom who has a unmedicated birth. I could NEVER. You people are rockstars.
