IUD insertion

I had my copper iud inserted earlier today and I swear I haven’t felt cramps as bad as I have today. I also been spotting and I took ibuprofen about an hour before and that did nothing and no painkillers are easing the pain, only having a shower eased it. Just wondering how long anyone else has had bad pains and spotting just after having it done. Just gone off the pill due to the mood swings and I was worried before having it done.
