Egg sharing 🥚

So me and my husband have unexplained infertility. We were TTC for 5 years before having IVF. We were extremely lucky and was successful first time.

We have been trying to grow our family again since the birth of our son almost 2 years ago now.

We thought that IVF wouldn't be an option again because of the cost but I have recently seen that our IVF clinic have started an egg sharing package where If I share half of my eggs retrieved with someone that needs a donor we will receive our round of IVF for free. All we pay is the initial consultation and tests to check if I'm eligible.

Has anyone done anything like this before? Anything I should know before jumping straight in?

I'm a little nervous because the initial costs could be around £1000 and I might not even qualify. I do love the idea of helping another couple that have been though the same heartbreak though.
