Ok heres the rub!
We got engaged in June! yay! We are planning on eloping to NOLA next year June with some immediate fam and then the next day jumping on a cruise for a honeymoon and the fam was coming with🙄
Cut to last week and we find out Im pregnant! Also Yay! But due in May😬😬 
Would you ask fam to postpone cruise in leu of a more road trip baby friendly vacation??

I wouldn’t go anywhere that soon after giving birth.  You’ll be exhausted and a vacation sounds like a nightmare.

You want to do a road trip with an infant? I couldn't sit comfortably for a month after I gave birth, I could not imagine a whole road trip within a month of giving birth, especially with the world going through a pandemic 😳

I wouldn't ask other people to adjust their plans and vacation but I would change mine. And contact the cruise company and see if I could get a refund based on the situation.

Mm depends if you guys will get all your money back or not. I think it’s pretty tacky to ask people to postpone a vacation but I know it’s your honeymoon. Maybe run the idea past them and see what their reactions are.

I would definitely not plan a trip that close to the baby. Not to mention we have no idea what the heck is going to be going on with Covid. I would tel your family the cruise isn’t an option for you anymore but leave it up to them. If your family still wants to go on a cruise, let them. But make sure that you don’t see any of them for at least 2 weeks after that if covid is still a thing.
