CALI unemployment/ disability question
my California people I have a question in regards to ca unemployment/disability. So I know I will qualify for ca disability due to pregnancy up to TWO weeks before my due date and then qualify for an additional SIX (or 8 now not sure) weeks of PFL after birth (I received it my last pregnancy). However I worked up to 10 days b4 my dd last time (office job) This time around since i work on my feet all day I'm already tired amd drained. Im 30weeks and considering taking an LOA from my job in a few weeks until whenenver I return after birth. My question is...If I stop working at say 34 weeks (and cant get ca pregnancy disability that early) should/could apply for unemployment first? Can I then stop it and apply for disability or would that mess up my eligibility? I hope my question is clear. BC I cant get unemployment thru out the pregnancy/birth because I technically would not be able to work/look for work or accept work which is a requirement/question while you are on unemployment. So i just skip unemployment all together and apply for it after my PFL expires? Sorry for this LONG winded question lol and I hope its kinda clear of what I'm trying to convey
