I was only in labor for 3 hours!

My first pregnancy and second pregnancy with my boys were very different from each other and so was the births! With my first my water broke at home 4 weeks before his due date. I arrived at the hospital only 1cm dilated and was in labor for 8 hours with an epidural as well.... now they say second babies come fast but I was not expecting him to come THAT fast!

I had an appointment at 39weeks 4 days. My Ob said I was only 1 cm dilated and to go home and do squats. I did just that along with other weird inducing exercises. I woke up at 10:45 pm with what I thought was Braxton Hicks because I was having a lot of them this pregnancy. I tried to brush it off and go back to sleep but they kept coming so I decided to time them for an hour because I wasn’t sure if it was labor or not. Finally once they were 5 minutes apart I decided to call L&D and they told me to come in. Unfortunately I live an hour away from the L&D hospital so I was having back to back contractions that whole car ride😳 when I got to the hospital, my Fiancé dropped me off up front and a security cop wheel chaired me up to L&D. An Ob checked me as soon as I got to my room and said you’re 10 cm and ready to push. I remember saying hell no I need an epidural and she said it’s too late 😭 15 minutes later I had my baby boy, Weston Gregory❤️ Born 7/24/20 at 1:47 am 7lbs 1oz, 20in long
