Anyone ever had a flea problem? Omg

2 weeks ago my son brought a dog inside that showed up on our porch. Fast forward to yesterday. We have fleas in my house!! We just called someone to come out but for now we’re leaving the house cuz I don’t want the kids to be bit!! I had no ideas fleas could be this bad. Lol my mom says I’m over exaggerating but omg! No one has been bitten yet but I have seen like 20.

Vacuum a lot, at least daily & take the bag or empty the canister outside in the trash immediately after. They like to hang out in baseboards so vacuum those too. That is the best way to get rid of them

We had them from our dog once (forgot to give him his flea medicine and he picked them up from MIL’s cat). We had orkin come spray the baseboards and windows and then we vacuumed every day for a month. It’s a pain in the butt but it works.

😩😩😩 we got them in our house this spring. We had to have a professional come spray our house. We don’t even have any carpet in our house and we couldn’t get rid of them. Had to throw out rugs and keep treating our indoor cats and the dog. It’s horrible...I’m so sorry!

The guy who came out said he’s pretty sure we didn’t really have any maybe a few jumped off the dog. Thankfully we treated it quick! Lol

We have 6 dogs, they are treated every month, our yard gets sprayed every 6 weeks and we treat the inside of our house as well. Even with all that, our dogs still carry some fleas on them. We keep CapStar on hand to give them if it gets bad. 
Our neighbors don’t treat their yard or dogs, so I think they’re coming from there. We didn’t have this problem until they moved in. 
Flea traps do work well in the home if you see a bunch, but I recommend a CapStar and a flea dip for the dog and then a monthly treatment
