First time mom lots of questions

I’m 2 weeks postpartum and breastfeeding. My doctor told me it could be months before I get my period.

When did you get yours if you breastfed your baby?

When should I start taking birth control? What kind should I use since I’m breastfeeding that won’t affect my supply or my baby?

I haven’t taken birth control in years TTC my baby boy but I really don’t want another baby right now I want him to have a couple years just mommy, daddy and him. I hate birth control but I can’t use condoms because for some reason every time I had sex with a condom I would get itchy and feel like I had a UTI or something.
