Bleeding after sex...

Hey friends. So, I'm currently a little over 5 weeks pregnant, and after my husband and I "did the deed" I noticed I was bleeding. It wasn't heavy, and it was bright red. Now, even when I'm not pregnant, this occasionally happens... So, I sat on the toilet for awhile and continued to wipe until it began to let up. I'm wondering, has this happened to anyone else? I hear it's normal, but I just can't help but be concerned, naturally. My doctor's appointment isn't for another 5 weeks😬
