Late night thoughts

Anyone with multiple kids feel like their second/third kid aren’t treated the same by family as their first?

We had a smaller turn out for my second daughters shower and first birthday. Overall no one really checked in on me during my pregnancy or after to see how she was. No one visited in the hospital the second time around.

This past weekend my oldest was asking to go to her grandmas so I was like “finally a little break” and called up my parents assuming that they would take both girls since they always do. Well they only took my oldest for the night. It was nice quality time with my youngest but still, they didn’t even offer or ask if she wanted to go to and it kinda upset me.

Now I’m pregnant with a third and am seeing the same pattern over again, especially with my parents. I don’t have a very good relationship with my mom to begin with, but to see my kids take the brunt of that really sucks because they’re so little and have no idea that they clearly pick favorites.
