Dr tells me to prepare for miscarriage

Hi all

Having a bit of a rocky start with this pregnancy

Hcg levels a few days apart we’re the following:

I had a scan to check for ectopic yesterday and it’s not. They found a sac and a yolk measuring a little smaller than expected but in the right place

Due to the very low starting numbers dr has said we will have a follow up scan next week and if there’s no growth look at medical management termination she said there is not much hope and to prepare for a bad outcome

I’ve now got to wait a week knowing this

Has anyone been through this?
