Period pregnant?

Can you have a period and like get pregnant? Ive been seeing all these posts about women having heavy bleeding and still ending up pregnant like what how ???  can someone enlighten me on this situation? 
I know that spotting can happen but not period like, right?

It won't technically be a period as that's your egg and lining shedding. But some women have bleeding at the time their period would be due and is similar heaviness and length. In rare cases it happens every month. So people will mistake it for a period

No, not an actual period. There are other reasons for some bleeding in early pregnancy (implantation bleeding, hematoma, irritated cervix, for example) but you absolutely cannot have a period while you are pregnant, no matter what somebody’s cousin’s friend’s aunt said happened to her.

Some days women do bleed during pregnancy, but it’s not a period.
If your period came when it was supposed to and it was heavy, you’re not pregnant.
