Dilation

I went to the doctor today and I am still STUCK at 1cm 50% effaced. But she did schedule me for an elective induction next week, October 3rd. But she said hopefully I would be dilated more by next Thursday so I can get induced because if I am still at 1cm she said we are going to cancel my induction because it can cause me to be at risk for a c-section (don’t know how). But PLEASE comment ways I can help my cervix dilate. I am TIRED! She said I need to be at least 1-2 more cm dilated. This is my 4th pregnancy but I haven’t had this with my other children. They were ready!
