Housing suggestion for baby

So my husband and I are in the process of buying a new build home. We are looking for an apt that we would live in for 6m-year and we’re due in December. Wondering if we should just do a one bedroom cause I hear baby sleeps with you anyways, or if you’d suggest doing a 2 bed... I’m not sure. Family never comes barely so I thought we could maybe treat the one bed as a studio and have baby in the one bed worse case. But idk if we’ll regret that so I thought I’d see what other moms and parents thought who are experienced 😬
