Gestational sacs

Does anyone know much about gestational sacs? My doctor says my baby is measuring awesome and right on for how far along I am but she says the gestational sac looks to be a little small so I have to go back to have that checked out again. She said it could just be that the ultrasound was done a little too early (at 7 weeks) and that’s why but i want to know peoples experiences
