How much would you pay for a makeup class?

I really want to learn how to do make up on other people and become a makeup artist. It’s a class that is advertising for $300 with tools included for 4 hours on 1 day. My first thought was it is kind of expensive but I could afford it if needed. What are your thoughts?

Welcome to the beauty industry, That’s actually on the low side for a one day makeup course, I’ve classes advertised for way more. you have to consider the fact they are providing you with the tools needed which is partly why the cost is so high. 
If your truly passionate about becoming a makeup artist an have the funds to do it, definitely go for it.

Hi!  I worked for Lancome for years, I started as a beauty advisor, went up to a manager and a makeup artist.  If you’re looking to take classes that eventually get you a job, I would start at a counter in the mall (Macy’s, Dillards, Bloomingdales etc.). They send you to take classes and you get to practice daily
