How do I block certain topics from showing up on my Facebook newsfeed?

Question

My sister in law mentioned the other day how she removed all political, religion, and news related topics from showing up on Facebook. So now her newwfeed is basically just all family, friends, and memes. How do you do this?
I don't really want to have to ask her, so I wanted to see if any of you knew? I have tried looking through the settings and newwfeed preferences.

I just don't have Facebook. I know some folks want to keep in touch with family and friends though. That's why we have a phone! 🤗

As far as I am aware that on Facebook there is no filter options (yet) I would say she did a clean out on pages groups and people that might be sharing that info I recently did the day. So any pages groups or friends that’s you either don’t talk to don’t what to hear from just delete and remove them.

I'm not sure. But I just unfollow or "take a break" anytime someone brings up politics, no matter the issue. But then I noticed my Facebook is pretty empty now. Haha. So I actually just don't really go on it anymore. Only just to check for notifications.

You can hide posts and they wont show things similar to it. On the top right of a post there is some symbol I forget that you click and it comes up as an option
